About Us
It all began with an old, slightly crooked shadelamp that I reluctantly inherited from my father. When I placed it in my apartment, for the first time I felt a sense of comfort– suddenly, my home felt warm, elegant, and inviting.
Soon, I began noticing these large, characterful shadelamps in old films and photographs: on politicians’ desks, in portraits of artists – quiet symbols of style and refined living.
At some point, I wanted another lamp, but nothing seemed to possess the charm I was looking for. So I started sketching, letting my own vision take shape. Before long, the first prototype emerged, and the idea began to take flight. European workshops supplied the finest materials: ceramics from Portugal, metal fittings and the finest linens from England, switches made from traditional Bakelite in Germany.
Today, every Luce di Leda lamp is a unique piece – lovingly crafted, fair, sustainable, and timelessly elegant.
My name is Marco.
I navigate between construction management and design, between architecture and artisanal craftsmanship.
